Reps Education and Organising Programme

TSSA Reps Education and Organising Programme Tree

Introduction

The role of trade union education plays a pivotal role in providing the skills, knowledge and experience necessary for reps to develop their role and grow in confidence. The structure of the programme has been devised to create a progression route whereby TSSA representatives will gain the skills and knowledge, while experience will be tracked and additional courses provided to ensure you feel confident and encouraged to rise to your role.

If you would like more advice or support with your choice of courses, contact Jon Clark on 020 7529 8016, or via email at clarkj@tssa.org.uk.

Accreditation
All TSSA courses are accredited through Trade Union Congress (TUC) education centres around the country. This enables all reps attending courses to gain qualifications through the Open College Network (OCN). These credits can be aggregated to provide access into further and higher education.

Bursary
In addition to our own courses the TSSA offers a bursary for members who are engaged in Further or Higher education. We can pay up to £250 per year of study. To apply for this opportunity complete the application form and return to the London office. The application will then gain consideration from the Education Officer and the Assistant General Secretary.
