We are committed to training every rep and training them to the highest standard.

Our programme falls into three key areas:

Core programme and progression as highlighted below. A progression that starts with Zone 1: the Induction course, and moves to the introductory courses in Zone 2. Each course is accompanied by a series of workplace activities, these activities should be completed before attending the following courses. This would include incorporating a six month gap to gain the necessary workplace experience before attending the Zone 3 courses and beyond.

We believe that when it comes to training and development it is the breadth of provision that best suits the building of capacity within the TSSA. From International Women's Day, to pension champions and stress. Courses to develop specific interest and skills, courses for both representatives and members.

Issues Based Courses: what course? you decide! Course provision that aims to deliver problem solving training around a workplace issue, therefore allowing us to respond quickly and visibly to the issues affecting us.

All courses are free of charge, accommodation available for those who need it and travelling costs reimbursed.

Accreditation
All TSSA courses are accredited through Trade Union Congress (TUC) education centres around the country. This enables all reps attending courses to gain qualifications through the Open College Network (OCN). These credits can be aggregated to provide access into further and higher education.
