Campaigns and activities, past and present

WiF knits up support for Oxfam campaign (deadline September 2008)
Calling all members of WiF and supporters who can knit or crochet. Use up old wool and do something useful while sitting in front of the TV or relaxing in your garden chair or on the beach this summer!
WiF Celebrates 10 Years of Activity
Ten years of activity of TSSA’s Women in Focus (WiF) will be celebrated on Monday 9 June at Portcullis House (part of the House of Commons), in the company of Harriet Harman MP, deputy leader of the Labour Party. This event has been cancelled because of logistical problems.
’Charter for Women’ - First Conference
The Charter for Women Steering group has decided to hold its first conference on 15 October 2005 at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, West Midlands.

Our pensions’ campaign to achieve parity for women in money purchase pensions will also be launched.
2008 March TSSA Journal: WiF women celebrate and campaign
‘We didn’t know this when we called our group Women in Focus, WiF for short,’ says Harriet Yeo, TSSA EC treasurer. ‘But then we found out that ‘wif’ is a Celtic word referring to women. It was a total coincidence.’
Annual Conference 2004: Making their mark
