London Midland: Redundancy Referendum Result
9 March 2010: The referendum ballot on whether you would support industrial action against the Company for making further redundancies has now closed and the results have been verified. The reason this has been delayed is because the closing date had to be extended.

Network Rail: Ops & CS and Controller Grades Pay Dispute: Balloting Starts Next Week
5 March 2010: Your union yesterday gave Network Rail the legally required notice to be able to ballot you for industrial action. Ballot papers will be despatched on 11 March 2010.

c2c Rail: c2c freeze on annual leave issue
3 March 2010: c2c have now frozen any offers on extending your annual leave. The Company have said this is because of the restrictions put on them by the Department for Transport as a consequence of Nation Express having handed the keys back on the East Coast Mainline franchise. The DfT is determined to strip the group of its other franchises announced a bidding timetable for the c2c franchise, which is up for renewal in May 2011. The government clearly feels that it is unacceptable for the company to go on running its other more profitable franchises having given up its loss making East Coast franchise.

Network Rail: Office of the Rail Regulator agrees with your union!
3 March 2010: The ORR today raised "significant concerns" about Network Rail’s (NR) maintenance restructuring plans, which you think threaten safety and will also mean 1,500 job losses. According to the ORR, there has been no practical test of the proposed changes and no effective employee engagement. Your Reps fully agree with this analysis!
