A decent State Pension for all generations

Following discussions with the police the event will now begin with a static protest to take place from 11am on Parliament Square (by Winston Chruchill’s statue).

Members are urged to support the pensions rally at Westminster Methodist Central hall and lobby of Parliament taking place on 22nd October. The rally is a joint venture between the National Pensioners Convention, the TUC and affiliated unions. The event will focus on the call to end pensioners poverty and its theme is the support of today’s workers for current pensioners.

- 11am protest on Parliament Square
- 12 noon - rally, Methodist Central Hall, Westminster Speakers include MPS, trade union and pensioners’ leaders
- 2pm onwards - lobby of MPs, House of Commons
- After 100 years, 1 in 4 pensioners still live below the poverty line
- Millions of workers will rely on the State Pension when they retire
- Raise the State Pension above the poverty line for all
- Restore the link with earnings
