Civil Service Strike
Nearly two thirds of PCS voters have backed a national civil service-wide strike on 31 January 2007, followed by a ban on overtime.
The action follows the government’s lack of assurances on job security, below inflation pay offers, privatisation agenda and failure to progress national pay issues.
The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) which is supporting the dispute have indicated that their members would be pleased to receive visits from TSSA members on their picket lines on 31 January. A number of rallies have been organised across the UK with details of locations, times and venues available on the PCS web site at www.pcs.org.uk
