Tolpuddle Festival 2006

Every summer in July, thousands of people come from all over the country to Tolpuddle to celebrate trade unionism and remember the part played by the Tolpuddle Martyrs.

This annual free festival offers a full programme of traditional and contemporary music and other attractions, including speakers, stalls, a well organised children’s fun area, refreshments and beer tents.

This year, TSSA is one of the many sponsors of the event. In addition, the Executive Committee has agreed that if sufficient interest is shown, consideration will be given to hiring a coach to attend the event on Sunday 16 July for departure and return from Walkden House.
