TSSA Staff

While TSSA is a member-led union, paid staff are employed to administer and support the lay organisation, to negotiate on behalf of members, and to organise and recruit in the industries where we have members.
TSSA’s staff are based either at our head office Walkden House in London, or at one of the outbased offices in Bristol, Manchester, Nottingham, York, Glasgow or Dublin.
Our General Secretary, Gerry Doherty, is responsible for managing the Association’s paid staff. Gerry was elected in February 2004 for a five-year term of office and re-elected in 2008.
In December 2004, the Executive Committee appointed Manuel Cortes as Assistant General Secretary.
