We have 30,000 members in the UK and Ireland, working for the railways and associated companies, London Underground and Transport for London, the travel trade, and in shipping, ports, road haulage and buses.

Important notice: South Wales & Western Division Council Meeting, 17 July 2010


The venue for the Divisional Council Meeting on the 17th of July 2010 has now been changed. This is due to the closure of the Railway Club at Bristol Temple Meads Station. The new venue is: Cardiff Rugby (Athletic) Club, Westgate St, Cardiff - 1230pm for a 1pm start.

c2c Rail: c2c freeze on annual leave issue

3 March 2010: c2c have now frozen any offers on extending your annual leave. The Company have said this is because of the restrictions put on them by the Department for Transport as a consequence of Nation Express having handed the keys back on the East Coast Mainline franchise. The DfT is determined to strip the group of its other franchises announced a bidding timetable for the c2c franchise, which is up for renewal in May 2011. The government clearly feels that it is unacceptable for the company to go on running its other more profitable franchises having given up its loss making East Coast franchise.
